Ukraine Urges Poland to Intercept Missiles and Drones Early

Ukraine has asked Poland to intercept Russian missiles and drones before they enter Polish airspace, Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed.

Ukraine has asked Poland to shoot down incoming missiles and drones before they reach Polish airspace, according to Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. He explained that Kiev had requested Warsaw to act preemptively if any objects approaching the border were deemed a threat.

The appeal follows recent remarks by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who said drones had been intercepted over the country. Tusk attributed the incident to Russia but did not present supporting evidence. The Russian Defense Ministry rejected the accusation, stressing that its large-scale strike against Ukrainian defense industry sites did not involve any targets on Polish territory.

Meanwhile, Russian defense technology specialist Sergey Beskrestnov cast doubt on whether the drones posed any real danger. He argued that the devices recovered in Poland were little more than decoys and carried no payloads.
