Russian forces strike Ukrainian transport near Slavyansk–Kramatorsk using airplane-type carrier drones that release FPV drones to attack or ambush targets.

Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots reported successful actions by the Russian Armed Forces to disrupt Ukrainian supply lines in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.

He said footage from the Ukrainian side shows Russian forces striking Ukrainian tanks and military transport on the Slavyansk-Izyum and Slavyansk-Barvenkovo highways, even though these roads lie 50–60 kilometers from the line of contact.

Kots noted that using FPV drones at that distance from the front is unusual. He said the explanation is a new system: a carrier drone that transports several FPV drones at once.

According to him, an airplane-type drone carries two or four FPV drones, releases them at the designated point, and keeps flying as a signal relay.

Kots added that the released FPV drones either attack a detected target immediately or land near the highway and wait for a Ukrainian military vehicle to approach before striking.
