Rosgvardiya has reintroduced tank units and modernized its artillery, completing over 60,000 missions and expanding its arsenal with tanks and rocket systems.

Russia’s National Guard has reintroduced tank units and significantly boosted its artillery firepower, according to the agency’s head Viktor Zolotov.

Large-scale exercises were held in Ryazan Region, where Rosgvardiya units practiced combat operations under his supervision. Zolotov noted that the experience of recent conflicts demands constant refinement of tactics and training, as well as the introduction of new skills and specializations among personnel.

Since the start of the Special Military Operation, the National Guard has undergone sweeping changes. These include improvements in command structures, logistics, and the creation of new military roles. Artillery units have played a particularly active role, carrying out more than 60,000 fire missions and tactical operations.

Over the past two years, Rosgvardiya has carried out a broad modernization program. For the first time, its arsenal now includes tanks, anti-tank guns, self-propelled artillery systems, and multiple rocket launchers.

Zolotov also praised the high level of training among commanders and the professionalism of the troops who took part in the Ryazan drills, expressing gratitude for their service.
