Russian forces launched drone and rocket attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure overnight, striking energy and logistics sites in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and beyond.

In the early hours of August 7, Russian forces conducted a coordinated series of strikes across several regions in Ukraine, according to military reports. The attacks targeted infrastructure in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv regions.

Russian troops deployed a variety of weapons during the assault, including Geran drones, guided aerial bombs with planning and correction modules, and multiple launch rocket systems. The primary objective was to disrupt Ukraine’s energy and industrial infrastructure.

Damage was reported at 20 to 25 different sites, with Dnipropetrovsk suffering the heaviest impact. According to sources, around 30 Geran drones were launched in successive waves, likely intended to overload local air defenses.

The Telegram channel Voenkory Russkoy Vesny noted that in Dnipro, an administrative building and a transport facility were either damaged or destroyed in the strikes.

In Kharkiv region, Russian forces reportedly hit areas around Chuhuiv, Vovchansk, and the outskirts of Kharkiv city, targeting ammunition depots, military equipment, and air defense systems.

In Kherson region, the attacks focused on Ukrainian military headquarters and river crossings. Meanwhile, in Sumy-specifically near Khotyn and Yunakivka-and in Chernihiv’s Pryluky and Koriukivka districts, strikes were aimed at logistics hubs and storage sites.

Russian forces also engaged Ukrainian frontline positions near Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, continuing pressure on critical points in the east.
