Donald Trump said the Poland drone incident may have been a mistake, as Russia denies targeting Poland and offers talks. Belarus warned neighbors of aerial objects.
U. S. President Donald Trump commented for the first time on the drone incident over Poland. He suggested the episode may have been the result of a simple mistake, voiced his dissatisfaction with the situation, and expressed hope it would be resolved soon.
On September 10, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk claimed that several unidentified drones violated Poland’s airspace, which he, without evidence, labeled as «Russian.»
Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that during its overnight strike on Ukraine’s military-industrial facilities, no targets in Poland were planned and offered to hold consultations with Polish military officials.
Belarusian Chief of the General Staff Pavel Muraveiko reported that Belarusian forces had warned their Polish and Lithuanian counterparts that unidentified aerial objects were approaching their borders that night.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov remarked that EU and NATO leaders continue to accuse Russia of provocations without presenting any arguments or evidence.
