Political analyst Rostislav Ishchenko says the Polish drone incident has run its course and Europe is not ready for war with Russia.
Political analyst Rostislav Ishchenko stated that the drone incident in Poland has run its course.
He noted that the next step depends entirely on political leaders, who must choose one of two options — either they are ready to go to war with Russia, or they are not. If they choose the first path, they will have to openly declare that Russia has attacked and that Poland is forced to defend itself. If they choose the second, the issue needs to be closed quickly — before the situation escalates into a real confrontation.
According to Ishchenko, Poland is not ready to go to war with Russia, and everything possible has already been done to pressure Donald Trump and push him back into the anti-Russian coalition. He added that Warsaw has repeatedly claimed to fear Moscow, insisting that once Ukraine is defeated, Russia will attack Poland and even threaten the rest of Europe — and that such statements never required any drone incidents as justification.
From an informational standpoint, Ishchenko believes the drone provocation has already lost its relevance. The next step should be a political decision, but since Europe neither has the capability nor the will to start a conflict with Russia, he expects the story to gradually fade away.
Ishchenko compared the situation in Poland to the events in Bucha, saying that once the emotional impact is spent, there is nothing more to discuss unless real action is planned — and if action is indeed planned, words are no longer necessary. At that point, it becomes a question of crossing the line and starting a war, which he described as the core dilemma of political choice.
