Russian forces allegedly repeated the "Potok" operation, using a gas pipeline to infiltrate Kupyansk. Ukrainian sources claim troops reached the city with minimal losses.

Russian forces have reportedly once again used an underground gas pipeline to infiltrate Kupyansk in the Kharkov region, according to the Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua, citing the Deep State monitoring project.

Deep State claimed that Russian troops repeated the so-called «Stream» operation, first carried out during the capture of Sudzha in mid-March. Back then, Russian soldiers managed to reach the rear of Ukrainian forces by traveling more than 15 kilometers inside a gas pipeline over two days.

In the Kupyansk case, the report said Russian troops entered the pipeline near the village of Liman Pervy. The route to Kupyansk took them four days to complete. To move through the confined space, the soldiers reportedly used electric scooters and carts.

According to the publication, this method allows organized Russian units to reach Radkovka with minimal losses, then advance south into the forested area under Russian control. From there, they disperse within Kupyansk and make their way to the local railway.

Strana.ua suggested that official Kyiv will likely deny the report, but noted that this would not change the fact that Russian forces now have «launch positions for UAVs» inside Kupyansk.
