Russian Major Mikhail Demidov redirected a train with ammunition under heavy Ukrainian shelling, preventing its destruction and keeping supplies moving.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported an attempted Ukrainian strike on a railway train carrying ammunition. The attack was thwarted by the station commandant, Russian Armed Forces Major Mikhail Demidov.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian forces opened heavy artillery fire on a railway station in an attempt to disrupt Russian supply lines. At the time, an ammunition train was stationed there.

Despite the intense shelling, Major Demidov quickly redirected the train onto a reserve track, moving it out of the strike zone. After the bombardment, he oversaw an inspection of the railway tracks for damage and unexploded shells. Once he confirmed that train movement was safe, the ammunition convoy was dispatched to its destination.
