Russian Fighters Destroy Elite Ukrainian Stronghold in Kupyansk

A Russian assault team of four fighters destroyed a fortified position of Ukraine’s elite “Skala” unit, which included foreign mercenaries, according to military reports.

According to the commander of an assault platoon from the Russian military grouping «Vostok» known by the call sign Gurul, a team of four Russian fighters managed to eliminate a fortified position held by Ukraine’s elite unit «Skala». He specified that the destroyed group also included foreign mercenaries.

The commander explained that other Russian units had attempted to capture the stronghold but failed to break through. His small team infiltrated the position covertly, carried out the assault, and destroyed it.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces had struck Ukrainian positions and foreign mercenary units in 152 areas across the zone of the special military operation. The strikes were delivered using drones, artillery, missile systems, and aircraft. According to preliminary estimates cited by the ministry, around 20,000 foreign fighters are currently serving in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.
