Denis Pushilin said Ukrainian forces in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk cannot rotate troops safely as Russian units advance near Yampol and close in on the Liman sector.
Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said that Ukrainian forces in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk can no longer rotate their units safely, as most of the access roads are already under Russian fire control. He explained that supply runs, including the delivery of ammunition, have also become extremely difficult.
Military channels reported that Russian troops are advancing through the Serebryansky forestry area. Units of the Russian Armed Forces have reached the Yampol-Zarechnoe road and continue pushing westward, a development that could eventually break Ukrainian defenses in this sector.
Securing Yampol would give Russian forces a direct route toward Liman and place additional pressure on Ukrainian positions in the rear. It would also bring Russian units closer to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, with less than 30 kilometers remaining to the key stronghold.
