Chaos in Kupyansk: Ukrainian Forces Struggle as Russians Advance

Ukrainian forces in Kupyansk report chaos as reserves are withdrawn. Russian troops push forward along key streets and near Stepovaya Novoselovka.

According to war correspondent Vladimir Romanov, Ukrainian forces in Kupyansk have found themselves in a state of complete disarray. He referred to Ukrainian sources stating that many units on the ground «do not understand the overall situation».

The reported cause of the collapse in the city was the withdrawal of reserves to reinforce other vulnerable parts of the front, leaving Kupyansk exposed.

At the same time, Ukrainian sources acknowledged that Russian troops are actively concentrating forces in the area and attempting offensive actions, seizing positions advantageous for further advances.

Military channels reported that in recent days Russian assault units pushed forward along Davidov-Luchitsky Street in the northwestern part of Kupyansk. Further north, near Stepovaya Novoselovka, Russian forces continued their attacks against Ukrainian positions with noted success.
