Russian Forces Advance on Multiple Fronts in Ukraine

Russian forces report progress in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions, with intense fighting continuing across multiple frontline sectors.
The Russian military continues its special operation in Ukraine, with the situation along the front line evolving as of the morning of August 8.
Zaporizhzhia Front
Fighting is underway for control of Stepnohirsk. Reports indicate that Russian forces have seized an enemy strongpoint on the city’s southern approaches. Operations also continue to expand the bridgehead near the village of Plavni.
Donetsk Front
In the southern Donetsk sector, clashes remain intense around the settlements of Iskra and Aleksandrogard. On the Pokrovsk axis, combat is ongoing near Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Krasnyi Lyman, and Rodynske. In the Kostyantynivka sector, Russian troops are advancing around Yablonivka and Mykolaivka. Some sources claim Ukrainian forces have been pushed out of Katerynivka.
Krasnyi Lyman Direction
Reports point to the start of an assault on the village of Serednie. Heavy fighting is also taking place in Shandryholove and in the vicinity of Torske.
Kharkiv Direction
On the Vovchansk axis, battles continue near the Vovchansk Khutory area. In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces are expanding their control on the city’s northern outskirts, including areas near Radkivka and Holubivka.
Sumy Direction
Ukrainian troops are mounting counterattacks near Alekseyevka, attempting to cut the village off from supply lines. They are advancing from Varachyne as well as from the Kondratovka and Andriivka areas. In Yunakivka, Russian forces are pressing their assault on the southern part of the settlement, where heavy fighting is ongoing.
