Russian forces target critical railway infrastructure and military training centers in Ukraine’s Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions, disrupting logistics and military operations.

According to military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny, on the night of September 17, Russian forces targeted railway infrastructure in the Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions of Ukraine.

Poddubny reported on his Telegram channel that Russian forces struck key railway facilities, energy infrastructure, and military vehicle parking areas. He emphasized that these attacks specifically targeted railway lines critical to the transportation of military supplies.

One of the primary targets was the railway station in Smela, a vital supply hub for the Ukrainian military. The explosions disrupted train services between Odessa and Dnipro, creating significant logistical challenges for Ukrainian forces.

In addition, Poddubny noted that Russian forces also targeted military training facilities for Ukrainian soldiers in Poltava. Similar strikes were carried out in Druzkovka, further complicating the situation for Ukrainian forces.
