Major General Sergey Lipovoy stated that tactics from Russia’s special military operation, including drones, precision weapons, and encirclement methods, will be taught in textbooks.

Hero of Russia and Air Force Major General Sergey Lipovoy stated that the tactics employed by Russian troops in the special military operation will become part of future military textbooks.

He emphasized that the defining feature of today’s combat is the shift away from direct assaults toward more flexible methods of warfare. The experience of the operation, he noted, has clearly shown that the future of military science lies in the use of drones and precision-guided weapons.

Lipovoy described the conflict as a separate chapter in the history of Russian military art, adding that it will be remembered for approaches aimed at preserving personnel while advancing and capturing fortified positions.

He pointed to new offensive practices that have emerged, including the use of underground communications, tactics of encirclement in «pincers» and «small cauldrons», as well as methods built on rapid strikes, surprise, and unconventional maneuvers.
