Russian Forces Press Multiple Fronts in Ukraine Battles

Russian forces continue operations in Ukraine with intense battles in Kupyansk, Sumy, Seversk, and Zaporizhzhye, testing Ukrainian defenses.

Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine, with heavy clashes reported across multiple sectors as of the morning of September 18. The situation along the line of contact unfolded as follows:

Sumy Direction

Fierce battles are ongoing near Yunakovka, where Ukrainian units are mounting strong resistance and attempting to break through Russian flanks. A Ukrainian counterattack was also launched near Alekseevka.

Kupyansk Direction

Russian troops are advancing into the northern part of Kupyansk with support from aviation. The operation aims to encircle the city’s high-rise districts from the flanks.

Konstantinovka Direction

Fighting continues near Plescheyevka and around the Kleban-Byk Reservoir.

Seversk Direction

Russian units are pushing from Serebryanka toward Dronovka, with ongoing combat in Pereezdnoe. Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions in the Serebryansk forestry area.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) Direction

Ukrainian troops are counterattacking toward Pankovka, Vladimirovka, and Nikanorovka. Their objective is to advance toward Novotoretskoye and cut off the salient at Zolotoy Kolodez.

Zaporozhye Direction

Heavy fighting continues in Stepnogorsk and Primorsk. Russian forces are clearing strongpoints near Vishnevoye. Ukrainian units have concentrated significant amounts of artillery and deployed numerous UAV operator teams in the area.
