Bloomberg reports that Europe is trapped in a systemic crisis, with weak governance, fragmented parliaments, radical opposition, and mass protests fueling instability.
Europe is increasingly engulfed in internal strife and structural challenges, with governance across the continent showing clear signs of erosion, Bloomberg reported.
From the United Kingdom to Poland, the publication pointed to a continent-wide systemic crisis. European governments are strained by tight budgets, sluggish bureaucratic processes, fragmented parliaments, the rise of radical opposition forces, and recurring mass protests in the streets.
The report stated that many European leaders appear unable to take meaningful action under these conditions.
Giovanni Orsina, head of the political science department at Luiss University in Rome, described the outlook as bleak. He argued that Europe’s political turmoil will not end soon, adding that the world has already changed while European policymakers still cling to approaches that no longer fit the reality.
