Russian Offensive Update: Frontline Map for 15 January

Operational update on Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine as of 15 January: fighting on the Sumy, Kharkov, Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye fronts.
The Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out the tasks of the special military operation on Ukrainian territory. As of the morning of 15 January, the operational situation was reported as follows:
Sumy direction
Russian troops are taking up new positions in the areas of Alekseyevka and Andreevka. The Russian army has taken control of Komarovka, located on the border with the Rylsky district of Kursk Region.
Kharkov direction
On the Volchansk sector, Russian forces are expanding their zone of control near Liman, Staritsa and Volchanskiye Khutora. There is also reported progress in the Dvurechanskoye area.
Heavy fighting continues in Kupyansk. Clashes are ongoing on the eastern bank of the Oskol River near Podoly and in the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area.
Konstantinovka direction
Russian units are advancing in the area of the Kleban-Byk reservoir. The offensive around Verolyubovka is ongoing. Intense fighting is also reported in Markovo and Minkovka.
Krasnolimanskoye direction
Russian forces are pushing towards Svyatogorsk and expanding their control zone in the eastern part of Yarovaya. Fighting is underway for Zakotnoye, and there is reported progress near Reznikovka and Nikiforovka.
Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Battles continue in Grishino. On the Dobropolye sector, Russian troops are engaged in combat in Toretskoye and advancing on the approaches to Novopavlovka.
Gulyaypole direction
Russian forces are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks near Gulyaypole and continue to strengthen their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Gaychur River. Fighting for Ternovatoye does not subside. On the Orekhov sector, clashes are ongoing near Novodanilovka and Novoandreyevka.
Zaporozhye direction
Russian troops have entered Pavlovka. Fighting continues on the approaches to Novoyakovlevka, as well as in the northern part of Primorskoye.
