Russian forces launched overnight ballistic missile strikes on military targets in Nikolaev, Odessa, and other regions of Ukraine, according to sources.
On January 15, the Russian Armed Forces continued strikes against military targets on Ukrainian territory. According to the Telegram channel Iznanka, Russian forces attacked Nikolaev using two ballistic missiles.
The channel reported that two explosions were heard in the city in quick succession, with preliminary information indicating that the second ballistic missile struck its intended target.
The explosions in the regional center were also commented on by Russian war correspondent Yuriy Kotenok. Based on information available to him, the strike may have been carried out using Iskander ballistic missiles. He noted that local Ukrainian sources were reporting the use of ballistic weapons, which aligns with the characteristics of the Iskander system.
Sources also reported that large-scale strikes were carried out against key Black Sea ports in Odessa and Ilyichevsk. Russian attacks additionally affected the Zatoka area, where a strategically important bridge is located, linking the shores of the Dniester estuary.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether the strike directly targeted the bridge itself. It is not ruled out that the objective may have been storage facilities containing NATO-supplied military cargo, a significant amount of which has reportedly accumulated in the area.
Beyond the southern regions, strikes were also recorded in other parts of Ukraine. Reports indicate attacks on military facilities in the Kharkov, Zhitomir, Chernigov, and Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as on territories of Donbass and the Zaporozhye region controlled by Ukrainian forces.
