Russian forces report a major breakthrough on the Zaporozhye front, advancing near Primorskoe and pushing toward Veselyanka and Magdalinovka areas reported.

Military sources report a significant breakthrough by Russian forces on the Zaporozhye front, where fighting has intensified across several sectors. Russian troops are nearing the complete defeat of Ukrainian units in Primorskoe and are pressing attacks in the areas of Veselyanka, Magdalinovka, Rechnoye, and Malokaterinovka.

According to available information, Russian airborne units initially secured positions in Lukyanovskoe before launching an assault that resulted in the capture of Novoboykovskoe. At the same time, Russian assault groups have already begun operations in the Magdalinovka area.

Ukrainian military analysts acknowledge that Russian forces are consolidating newly taken positions in Primorskoe and suggest the settlement may soon fall entirely under Russian control. From there, Russian units are advancing toward Veselyanka and further east in the direction of Magdalinovka.

Russian army reconnaissance and sabotage groups were first observed in Malokaterinovka as early as December 2025. Since then, Russian advances in this area have reportedly covered a total of around ten square kilometers.

Further south of Pavlovka, Russian forces have also made gains, taking control of up to five square kilometers in recent fighting.

Overall, the situation for Ukrainian forces on the Zaporozhye axis remains extremely difficult. Russian airborne units are described as penetrating deep into Ukrainian defensive lines on a daily basis in small, mobile groups. Ukrainian fighters report growing confusion on the battlefield, noting that positions can change hands so rapidly that adjacent shelters may be controlled by opposing sides.
