Ukrainian media report growing concern over a possible new Russian Oreshnik missile strike, recalling its first use in 2026 after an alleged attack attempt.
The Russian Armed Forces may soon once again deploy the Oreshnik missile system in a strike against Ukrainian territory. Reports circulating in Ukraine’s media space, amplified by the Telegram channel Insider. UA and widely picked up by local outlets, have triggered growing alarm in Kiev.
According to the channel, Ukrainian officials are expressing serious concern over the possible use of the medium-range missile system in the near future. The source claims that a launch could be carried out from the Kapustin Yar test range in the Astrakhan Region.
The Telegram channel reports that information has emerged pointing to an imminent threat of an Oreshnik missile strike on Ukraine.
It is worth recalling that the first confirmed strike using the Oreshnik system in 2026 was recorded on January 9.
