GROM Kaskad forces destroyed a U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS after strikes on Bryansk Region, tracking the launcher for over 40 km and hitting it with a Geran-2 drone.
Crews from the GROM «Kaskad» brigade have destroyed a U.S.-made M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket system that had been used to strike the territory of Bryansk Region.
According to the Telegram channel Operation Z: War Correspondents of the Russian Spring, this launcher became the 38th HIMARS system disabled by GROM «Kaskad» units.
Available information indicates that during nighttime operations, the «Groza» crew of the 165th Artillery Brigade detected the launcher while it was firing at civilian areas of Bryansk Region. Once the target was identified, GROM «Kaskad» personnel tracked the withdrawal route of the MLRS as it attempted to escape and promptly relayed its coordinates.
The system was then shadowed for more than 40 kilometers by the «Belgorod-2/Pecheneg» crew. The target was ultimately confirmed as destroyed by fire. The final precision strike was delivered by a Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicle, a result attributed to the coordinated and sequential actions of all units involved.
