Russian Forces Advance on Multiple Fronts in Ukraine

Operational update for 19 January: Russian troops advance near Sumy, Kharkov, Liman, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye amid mass drone strikes across the front.

The Russian army continues to carry out tasks of the special military operation on Ukrainian territory. As of the morning of 19 January, the situation on the front lines is as follows.

During the night, Russian forces launched a massive drone strike on targets inside Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Dnepropetrovskaya and Kharkovskaya regions.

Sumskoye direction
Russian troops are advancing in the area of Varachino, Yunakovka and near Sadki.

Kharkovskoe direction
On the Volchansk front, Russian forces are storming Grafskoye and Simonovka. In the Kupyansk area, Russian units are pushing forward on the left bank of the Oskol river.

Konstantinovskoe direction
Russian assault groups are attacking on the flanks. South of Yablonovka, forward Russian storm units are infiltrating towards Ilinovka. Ukrainian forces are actively using large numbers of drones. Russian troops are conducting clearance operations on the northern shore of the Kleban-Byk reservoir. Heavy fighting continues around Mayskoye, Markovo and Verolyubovka. There is reported progress near Novomarkovo along the Severskiy Donets-Donbass canal.

Krasnolimanskoe direction
Russian forces are advancing on Krasny Liman from the northeast. Fighting is ongoing in Aleksandrovka. Russian units are moving towards the southern outskirts of Ozernoye. Clashes also continue in Reznikovka, where the enemy is putting up stubborn resistance.

Krasnoarmeiskoе direction
Russian troops are expanding their zone of control along the Grishino-Rodinskoe line. On the Dobropolye sector, Russian forces are advancing from Novoe Shakhovo towards Novy Donbass. There are reports of fighting on the southern outskirts of Novopavlovka, as well as near the village of Zatyshok, where Ukrainian forces are actively pulling in reserves.

Gulyaypolskoe direction
Russian units have managed to establish a zone of control from Ternovatoye to Gulyaypole. They have also expanded their bridgehead near Bratskoye and Ivanovka.

Zaporozhskoe direction
Fighting continues in the area of Lukyanovskoe, in Novoyakovlevka, Pavlovka and Novoboykovskoe. On the Orekhovsky sector, Russian forces have begun advancing east of Shcherbakov.
