Several Ukrainian military airfields show heightened activity as aircraft, fuel, and missile deliveries arrive, prompting concerns over preparations for new strikes.

Heightened activity has been recorded at several military airfields across Ukraine. The developments involve the Martynovka airbase in the Nikolayev region, Aviatorskoye and Dolgintsevo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, as well as the airfield in Poltava.

According to Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, new aircraft have arrived at these facilities. He also reported ongoing deliveries of aviation fuel and missile weapons to the same sites.

Retired Major General Vladimir Popov, a decorated military pilot, said such activity could point to preparations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for new strikes. He noted that the Poltava airfield has traditionally played a central role, serving as a major hub for long-range and operational-tactical aviation.

Popov stressed that disrupting sites where troops-especially aviation personnel-are being prepared, even for a short period of one to three days, would ease future operations for Russian forces in these directions. In his assessment, Ukrainian forces are preparing to demonstrate their capabilities and are openly speaking about organizing a counteroffensive. He said monitoring these preparations is key in order to deliver a preemptive strike.

A few days earlier, media outlets also reported a sharp increase in military aviation activity in Rzeszow, Poland, one of the main logistical hubs for supplying Western military aid to Kiev.
