Rostec Delivers Pantsir-SMD and Pantsir-S Systems to Russian Army

Rostec delivered Pantsir-SMD and Pantsir-S air defense systems to the Russian Army after state trials, highlighting their proven effectiveness in airspace protection.

The press service of the state corporation High-Precision Systems Holding announced that Rostec has delivered a batch of Pantsir-SMD surface-to-air missile systems and Pantsir-S air defense missile-gun systems to the Russian Armed Forces.

Following the required state tests, all systems were officially accepted by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The corporation emphasized that the Pantsir-SMD air defense system is equipped with an advanced fire-control system that integrates a multifunction radar and an electro-optical tracking module. The system’s onboard equipment can independently assess the effectiveness of fire against aerial targets in fully automatic mode.

Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Rostec’s Armaments Cluster, stated that Pantsir systems have repeatedly demonstrated their high effectiveness in protecting Russian airspace. During combat duty, Pantsir crews have consistently detected and destroyed complex aerial targets.
