Military analyst Vladimir Romanov reports Ukrainian elite brigades redeployed toward the Belgorod border, while Maj. Gen. Vladimir Popov warns of new attacks.
Military analyst Vladimir Romanov reports that Ukrainian forces are pulling elite units toward the border of Russia’s Belgorod region. According to him, the 82nd and 95th air assault brigades, as well as the 148th artillery brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, have been redeployed to the Belgorod axis for several days in a row.
Romanov wrote on his Telegram channel that, in his view, the course of the special military operation has shown that Vladimir Zelensky and his team are indifferent to the fate of Ukrainian soldiers as long as they can maintain a favorable political picture, and that this, in his opinion, makes them capable of any risky venture.
He also noted that a significant number of battalions from these brigades have not seen combat for a long time. Romanov believes these units were withdrawn to the rear for replenishment, recovery and re-equipment. He does not rule out that the Ukrainian command could use these forces in an attempt to break through the Russian state border.
Earlier, honored military pilot of Russia, Major General Vladimir Popov, stated that Russian troops should expect new strikes from Kiev. He was commenting on recent remarks by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces Aleksandr Syrsky, who announced plans for a new counteroffensive.
Popov said that Kiev has still not committed to battle three brigades stationed in western Ukraine. According to him, these formations are well trained and armed with modern weapons, but face shortages in armored vehicles.
