A Russian Iskander-M missile struck a former Philip Morris factory in Kharkov, reportedly used to produce ammunition for Ukrainian forces.

Overnight, missiles struck a former Philip Morris cigarette factory in Kharkov. The Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua reported the incident, citing a source within the company.

According to the report, the site was hit by a Russian Iskander-M missile. The facility has not operated as a tobacco factory since 2022 and has instead been used as a plant producing ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The location was reportedly adapted for cartridge manufacturing, including the stamping of brass and steel casings, as well as the storage of primer compounds and propellant components.

The direct missile strike triggered a fire covering at least 1,500 square meters. Load-bearing metal structures collapsed, existing equipment was destroyed, and secondary detonations of stored production materials were recorded.
