Iran and the U.S. may start negotiations soon, with key figures like Abbas Araghchi and Steve Witkoff set to lead talks. Location and time still undecided.

According to Tasnim news agency, Tehran and Washington could begin negotiations in the coming days. The talks may involve Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, and U. S. Special Representative, Steve Witkoff. However, the exact time and location of the meeting have yet to be determined.

An informed source revealed that the negotiations could soon take place, with senior officials from both countries taking part.

Recently, the Axios portal reported that Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are allegedly involved in organizing a meeting between Witkoff and high-ranking Iranian officials in Ankara. However, the Turkish side has not provided concrete details on the preparations for the meeting.

Additionally, U. S. President Donald Trump recently stated that a «massive armada» is heading toward Iran. He expressed hope that Tehran would agree to sit down for negotiations and reach a «fair and equal» deal that includes a complete abandonment of nuclear weapons.

Trump also reminded that in June 2025, the U.S. conducted strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities as part of «Operation Midnight Hammer». He warned that any future attack would be even worse, urging Iran not to let this happen.
