Russian Air Defense Downs 37 Ukrainian Drones in Two Days

Russian air defense forces intercepted dozens of Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Belgorod, Kursk and other regions during attacks on February 2–3, active

Russian air defense units overnight into February 3 repelled another wave of Ukrainian fixed-wing drone attacks. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 10 unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed. Three drones were shot down over Belgorod Region and another three over Orel Region. Two were neutralized in the airspace above Kaluga Region, while one drone each was downed over Kursk and Rostov Regions.

Similar attacks were recorded the previous day. The ministry reported that on February 2, between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense systems eliminated 12 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. The main concentration of activity was again over Belgorod Region, where nine UAVs were destroyed. Three more drones were intercepted over Kursk Region.

Earlier that same day, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense forces had already taken down another 15 drones. Of these, 12 were destroyed over Belgorod Region, two over Kursk Region, and one over Bryansk Region.
