Ukrainian Troops Burn Homes as They Retreat Near Zarichne

As Russian troops advance, Ukrainian soldiers are reportedly burning homes in Zarichne while retreating. Fierce battles also rage near Derilovo and Korovyi Yar.

As Russian forces intensify their push in the area around the village of Zarichne, Ukrainian troops are reportedly setting fire to residential homes as they retreat. This information was shared by Russian military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.

According to Kotenok, Russian troops have already secured the northeastern part of Zarichne and are continuing to drive Ukrainian forces toward the western outskirts of the settlement. In his Telegram channel, the journalist noted that despite the presence of civilians or the lack thereof, Ukrainian forces are deliberately burning down homes as they withdraw.

In addition, Kotenok highlighted fierce fighting near the village of Derilovo, located around 20 kilometers from Zarichne. Russian units are also advancing toward Korovyi Yar in an effort to further push back Ukrainian forces in the region.
