Russia’s Defense Ministry says air defenses intercepted 82 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, with most downed over Volgograd and others across multiple regions.

A total of 82 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight over Russian regions, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the ministry, 45 UAVs were shot down over the Volgograd region. Eight were destroyed over the Bryansk region. Six drones each were downed over the Rostov and Saratov regions. Four each were intercepted over the Orel and Tver regions, and three over the Kursk region.

In addition, one drone each was destroyed over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, and Smolensk regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry also stated that in response to AFU attacks, Russian forces carry out strikes using high-precision air-, sea-, and ground-launched weapons, as well as drones, exclusively against military targets and enterprises of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex.
