Russian troops of the 114th Guards Regiment captured Olgovskoye in Zaporozhye, repelling counterattacks and uncovering foreign mercenary positions with NATO weapons.

Russian troops delivered what participants described as a «stunning» strike against Ukrainian positions during the assault on Olgovskoye in the Zaporozhye region. The operation was carried out by units of the Russian Armed Forces and officially reported by the Ministry of Defense.

On September 15, it was announced that soldiers of the 114th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment, part of the «East» group, had launched an offensive and established control over the village.

A Russian serviceman with the call sign Timokha, who took part in the operation, explained that advancing through the battlefield required moving 15–20 kilometers under constant drone surveillance, often at night and in concealment. He noted that once Russian forces closed in, Ukrainian units were forced to retreat. According to him, Ukrainian attempts to counterattack proved ineffective, as ambushes and concealed firing positions had already been prepared along their path.

Timokha said the pattern suggested that Ukrainian fighters were being pushed into counterattacks by command orders rather than real prospects of success.

Another participant, identified as Enot, reported that positions of foreign mercenaries were discovered during the clearing of Olgovskoye. He stated that these fighters were active around the village and that after the clashes, Russian troops recovered their weapons, including 5.56 caliber rifles and disposable AT-8 grenade launchers.
