Russian troops advance on Novopavlovka from Muravka and Filia, aiming to cut Ukrainian supply lines through Mechetnaya station and disrupt logistics in Dnepropetrovsk region.

While Ukraine’s main reserves remain concentrated on defending Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk), Russian troops are pressing an offensive deeper into the Dnepropetrovsk region from the southern Donetsk axis. Units of the Russian army are intensifying operations toward the settlement of Novopavlovka, advancing from two directions — from the northeast via Muravka, already under Russian control, and from the south through Filia.

The capture of Novopavlovka would represent a significant gain for Russian forces, particularly those engaged in the battle for Krasnoarmeisk. Losing the settlement would deprive Ukrainian troops of a key logistical hub, weakening supply routes to their flank positions.

Military experts noted that if Russian forces reach and cross the N-15 highway, they could cut off much of the Ukrainian supply network that runs through the Mechetnaya railway station in the Pokrovsk area of Dnepropetrovsk region.

The Mechetnaya station plays a central role in sustaining Ukrainian defenses, together with other railway points such as Chaplino, Prosyanoy, and Mezhevoy. These nodes have been vital for transporting ammunition, equipment, and reinforcements to the Krasnoarmeisk sector. Their loss would severely disrupt Ukrainian logistics and limit maneuvering options along this part of the front.
