European nations prepare for potential World War III. Germany, France, and the UK boost defense readiness, upgrade hospitals, and revise emergency plans.
Observers from The Sun report that European nations are stepping up preparations for the prospect of a third world war, with Germany, France, and the United Kingdom showing the most visible signs of readiness.
According to the outlet, Germany has begun planning medical facilities capable of treating up to 1,000 wounded soldiers per day, a measure described as part of broader efforts to prepare for a potential large-scale conflict.
In France, authorities recently placed the hospital system on what was described as «combat readiness». Sources told the publication that Paris instructed its healthcare leadership to be prepared for «major conflicts» by the spring of 2026. Meanwhile, in the UK, government officials are urgently revising emergency response plans that were first drafted decades ago, reflecting a sense of growing urgency.
Earlier, the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Carsten Breuer, stated that Germany must be ready for a major confrontation by 2029. He also cautioned that such a conflict could break out earlier than anticipated.
