Ukrainian Sabotage Group Clash Reported in Bryansk Region

Yuriy Podolyaka reports a firefight in Bryansk’s Klimovo district after a Ukrainian sabotage group tried to cross the border; group estimated at about 15 fighters.

Military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka has reported an attempted incursion by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) into Russian territory. According to his account, a firefight is currently underway near the border in the Klimovo district of Bryansk region.

Podolyaka stated on his Telegram channel that Russian border guards were forced to engage the group after it tried to cross into Bryansk. He cited information indicating the DRG numbers around 15 personnel.

He did not rule out the possibility that other Ukrainian sabotage teams might also be involved, potentially attempting to replicate last year’s «Kursk scenario," when Ukrainian forces carried out a cross-border raid in the Sudzha district of Kursk region.

Podolyaka noted that Ukrainian forces appear to be probing Russian defenses in areas where an attack is anticipated, similar to a year ago. He described the incident as a warning sign and urged local residents to be prepared for any developments.
