Expert Says US and Israel Act Without Coordination
Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok says US and Israel act without coordination and points to disagreements in NATO and shifting decisions by Trump.
Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok stated that recent events in the Middle East show the absence of a coordinated coalition between the United States and Israel.
In his assessment, the sides act independently, without subordinating to each other or coordinating their actions. As an example, he pointed to a situation in which the United States announces a pause in strikes on Iran’s energy facilities, while Israel carries out strikes on the same targets during the same period, contradicting the idea of unified command.
Khodarenok also noted that abrupt changes in decisions by Donald Trump — when orders for strikes are issued and then canceled within a short time — undermine the confidence of troops in their commander-in-chief. In his view, such actions weaken the perception of US military power.
He further drew attention to the position of European allies, who stated they would send naval forces to the Strait of Hormuz only after the conflict ends. He questioned the logic of such steps and pointed to disagreements within NATO, raising doubts about the level of coordination within the alliance.
According to Khodarenok, after 25 days of conflict with Iran, the United States has not achieved its objectives, has not ensured the protection of its Middle Eastern allies despite significant spending on US weapons, and has undermined the perception of its own military capabilities.
