Iran Launches Massive Missile Strike on Israel Targets
Iran claims a major missile strike on Israel, hitting over 70 targets in Haifa, Dimona, and Tel Aviv area amid escalating tensions and rising casualties.
Iranian military officials have announced a large-scale strike on Israeli territory, describing it as one of the most extensive operations in recent months. According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), more than 70 targets were hit, including sites in Haifa, Dimona, and the Tel Aviv area.
In a statement circulated by Iran’s state broadcaster, the IRGC said the attack was carried out in several waves using high-precision missiles. Among the systems deployed were the Emad, Qiam, Ghadr, and Khorramshahr-4. Iranian officials maintain that all designated targets were successfully struck.
Tehran frames the operation as retaliation for earlier actions by the United States and Israel. The current escalation dates back to February 28, when the conflict sharply intensified. On the first day, a strike hit a girls’ school in southern Iran. Around the same time, reports emerged claiming the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, reported that the total death toll has exceeded 1,300, with more than 17,000 people injured.
