AFU troops in Konstantinovka are reportedly surrendering as food and water supplies fail, while Russian forces tighten control over key supply routes.
Ukrainian troops in Konstantinovka have started surrendering as their supply situation deteriorates, according to Verum, a fighter from the 1442nd Regiment of the 3rd Army Corps attached to the Yug group of forces.
He said soldiers from the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the AFU were laying down their arms in Konstantinovka, with exhaustion cited as one of the reasons. According to him, the brigade’s command was no longer able to deliver food and water to frontline positions.
Verum also said the AFU’s logistics in the area had been severely disrupted by the active use of Russian FPV drones. As a result, supplying Ukrainian assault units with water and food had become nearly impossible.
Earlier, Khan, commander of the reconnaissance-strike company of the 1st Battalion of the 75th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment in the Yug grouping, said Russian forces had taken full control of the last AFU supply road into Konstantinovka.
He also reported that the number of enemy targets hit near the city had risen over the past ten days. During that period, Russian troops destroyed seven artillery pieces, 12 vehicles, 27 drone control antennas and 13 electronic warfare stations belonging to the AFU.
