Ukraine Frontline Update: Key Battles on March 29

A March 29 frontline update details fighting in Sumy, Kharkov, Seversk, Konstantinovka, Dobropolye, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye sectors.

Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of March 29, the situation across the front lines was described as follows:

Sumy direction
Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Sumy, Glukhov and Krasnopol districts.

Kharkov direction
Intense battles continue in the Volchansk and Veliky Burluk sectors. Near Kupyansk, there have been no significant changes.

Seversk direction
Russian troops are advancing toward the southern outskirts of Ray-Aleksandrovka. Fighting is continuing near Lipovka and Krivaya Luka. Russian forces have also taken Brusovka.

Konstantinovka direction
Russian forces are pressing against AFU defenses near Ilyinovka. Fighting is also continuing in the urban area of Konstantinovka.

Dobropolye direction
Russian troops are moving northwest of Grishino. Clashes are underway near Rodinskoye, while Russian forces have expanded their control zone in Belitskoye.

Gulyaypole direction
Russian units are advancing west and northwest of Gulyaypole. Heavy fighting is underway in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Verkhnyaya Tersa and Komsomolskoye.

Zaporozhye direction
Positional fighting continues near Primorskoye, Stepnogorsk and Magdalinovka. This section of the front has seen extensive use of both strike and reconnaissance drones by both sides.
