Russian Air Defenses Down 50 Drones Overnight

Russian air defenses shot down 50 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions. Novorossiysk attack left eight injured and damaged residential buildings.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that air defense units shot down 50 Ukrainian drones during the night of April 5–6 over several regions of the country.
According to the ministry, the interceptions took place between 23:00 Moscow time on April 5 and 07:00 on April 6. All of the destroyed targets were aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
The drones were brought down over Belgorod, Bryansk, and Rostov regions, as well as above Krasnodar Krai and the waters of the Azov and Black seas.
In Novorossiysk, the nighttime attack left eight people injured, including two children. All of them were hospitalized. The strikes damaged six apartment buildings and two private houses. Reports indicate that the assault on the city unfolded in three separate waves.
Earlier that evening, between 20:00 and 23:00 on April 5, Russian air defenses had already intercepted 148 Ukrainian drones.
