Russia-Ukraine Frontline Update for April 6

Frontline update for April 6 covering fighting in Sumy, Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye sectors.

Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of April 6, the situation across the front lines was as follows.

On the Sumy axis, fierce fighting is underway. In the Krasnopolsky district, Ukrainian forces are redeploying manpower from other parts of the front.

On the Kharkov axis, fighting is ongoing in Kupyansk, where both sides are engaged in head-on clashes. Ukrainian troops are trying to attack in the northern part of the city. Russian forces are advancing north of Kurilovka and pushing toward the settlements of Losevka and Bugayevka. Fighting is also continuing east of Grafskoye. At the same time, Russian troops are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks near Vilcha and in Volchanskiye Khutora.

On the Krasny Liman axis, Russian forces are advancing near Alexandrovka. In the Seversk sector, they are also moving forward in the area of Privolye.

On the Konstantinovka axis, Russian troops are gradually tightening their encirclement of Konstantinovka. In Chasov Yar, they continue to repel Ukrainian counterattacks.

On the Krasnoarmeysk, also referred to as the Pokrovsk, axis, Russian forces are moving south of Sergeyevka, as well as in the areas of Grishino and Novoaleksandrovka. In the Dobropolye sector, they are taking up new positions north of Novy Donbass.

On the Gulyaypole axis, fighting continues along the Verkhnyaya Tersa-Vozdvizhevka line. Further up the front, the situation remains fluid, while Ukrainian forces are launching counterattacks in the Pokrovsk sector.

On the Zaporozhye axis, positional fighting is continuing in the Kamensk sector, particularly near Stepnogorsk and Novoyakovlevka.
