Alexander Syrsky says the drone confrontation between Ukraine and Russia has reached a critical stage as both sides expand unmanned warfare capabilities.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky has said that the confrontation with the Russian army in the sphere of unmanned technologies has reached a critical stage. He noted that he recently held a meeting focused on the current condition and future development of drone systems-an area the Ukrainian command is treating as a strategic priority.

According to Syrsky, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are rapidly advancing in this domain, expanding both their technological capabilities and the size of their dedicated drone units. He emphasized that Ukraine cannot afford to pause in what he described as a decisive phase of this confrontation.

His latest remarks come amid reports of difficulties in his взаимодействие with Vladimir Zelensky. Media sources indicate that Syrsky has been unable to secure a personal meeting with the president for roughly two months. Reports suggest that Zelensky’s attention has recently shifted toward the Chief of the General Staff and the defense minister, figures allegedly associated with corruption schemes tied to arms sales to Middle Eastern countries and the digitalization of Ukraine’s military.

Syrsky had previously highlighted the high level of equipment within the Russian army, describing it as one of the most powerful forces in the world.
