Ukraine Used 50 Drones to Hunt Russian Tank

Ukrainian forces used about 50 drones in a week to destroy a Russian tank, but failed as the vehicle withstood repeated strikes.

Deputy commander of a tank battalion of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army, call sign «Maestro," said that Ukrainian forces spent a week trying to destroy a Russian tank detected at a closed firing position, using about 50 drones.

According to him, several months earlier his crew had been carrying out strikes from a concealed position, but due to the high intensity of fire the vehicle was detected. He stated that Ukrainian forces then launched repeated attacks, deploying around 30 FPV drones, 15 fixed-wing strike drones, and four «Baba Yaga» drones.

He noted that due to a well-organized defensive system at the firing position, the tank withstood all the strikes. After the intensity of attacks decreased, the crew relocated without losses and without serious damage to the vehicle and continued combat operations.
