Russian air defense shot down 99 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions, including Crimea and Krasnodar, the Defense Ministry says.
Over the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 99 Ukrainian drones, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, the attack lasted from 20:00 on April 10 to 07:00 on April 11. During this period, Ukrainian forces attempted to strike targets on Russian territory using fixed-wing kamikaze drones.
Some of the drones were shot down over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Others were destroyed across several regions, including Kursk, Bryansk, Rostov, Belgorod and Kaluga regions, as well as Crimea and Krasnodar Krai.
Ukrainian forces regularly attempt to attack targets in Russia using drones and missiles. Russian air defense systems continue to detect and intercept the majority of aerial threats. In response to such attacks, Russian forces carry out precision strikes on Ukrainian troops, military-industrial facilities, weapons depots, command centers and communication nodes.
