Ukraine’s Magura V7 unmanned vessel can now launch multiple drones and act as a relay, expanding strike range and capabilities.

The Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel Magura V7 has received a new configuration that allows it to launch multiple quadcopters simultaneously. This was noted by analysts who published images of the platform equipped with additional modules.

According to their assessment, such a system can not only deliver drones closer to targets but also extend their operational range by acting as a relay. In this role, the vessel functions both as a drone carrier and a communications node.

Magura V7 first drew attention about a year ago following an incident involving an attack on Russian Su-30 aircraft over the Black Sea. Later, Naval News published images of an upgraded version of the vessel, showing it armed with two American Sidewinder missiles mounted on launch rails capable of vertical positioning.

The reported range of the Sidewinder missiles is up to 10 kilometers, although it may be lower in real conditions. It was also reported that in May 2025, during an attack on Novorossiysk, a Ukrainian unmanned vessel used an R-73 missile against a Russian naval aviation Su-30 fighter.

Later reports said that specialists from the Bars-Sarmat center began studying a captured vessel heading toward Crimea. It was reportedly built on a jet ski platform and capable of carrying an FPV drone with a range of up to 400 kilometers and a payload of up to 150 kilograms.
