Russia says foreign demand for the Su-57E fighter is rising, with several contracts signed as the jet heads to the Defence Services Asia show in Kuala Lumpur.

Rosoboronexport, part of Rostec, says the number of foreign customers for Russia’s newest fifth-generation multirole fighter, the Su-57E, is steadily growing. The company said Russia has already signed several contracts for the aircraft.

According to Rosoboronexport, interest in the Su-57E among its international partners remains strong, with some of them having already placed orders for the fighter. The company also said the list of buyers continues to expand.

The Su-57E is set to be showcased at the Defence Services Asia international defense exhibition, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur from April 20 to April 23.

Rosoboronexport also stressed that the aircraft already has real combat experience. That includes the use of long-range guided air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles in conditions involving modern enemy air defense systems and electronic warfare.

The company added that the Su-57E could become a suitable option for the modernization and дальнейшее development of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. That assessment is linked to the aircraft’s compatibility in a number of systems and weapons with the Su-30MKM fleet already in service in Malaysia.
