Frontline Update: Heavy Fighting Across Key Directions

Heavy fighting continues across several directions, with Russian strikes, Ukrainian counterattacks and ongoing clashes along the frontline.

Russian armed forces continue the special military operation in Ukraine. As of April 17, the situation along the line of contact is as follows:

Konstantinovka direction

Fighting is ongoing in Dolgaya Balka and Ilyinovka. Clashes continue in the industrial zone and near the railway station in Konstantinovka.

Seversk direction

Russian forces are eliminating remaining Ukrainian units near Fyodorovka Vtoraya, Dibrova and Lipovka. Gains have been reported near Kaleniki. Russian artillery is striking Ukrainian positions in Krivaya Luka.

Dobropolye direction

Positional fighting continues near Sergeyevka and north of Grishino. Clashes are also ongoing near Novoalexandrovka, Vasilevka, Belitskoye and Novy Donbass.

Krasny Liman direction

Heavy fighting is taking place east of Krasny Liman, along with positional battles near Drobyshevo and Yarovaya. Several Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were destroyed.

Kupyansk direction

Russian forces are carrying out artillery and air strikes. Ukrainian forces are redeploying units toward Volchansk and attempting counterattacks near Kurilovka.
