Rostec begins testing Podorozhnik electromagnetic filters designed to protect UAVs and electronics from EW interference, ensuring stable operation in harsh conditions.

Ruselectronics, a holding within the state corporation Rostec, has begun testing a new line of electromagnetic chip filters known as «Podorozhnik,» the company’s press service announced.

The devices are designed to shield electronic equipment from the effects of electronic warfare. Rostec explained that the filters can be used across a range of platforms, including unmanned aerial vehicles, where resistance to interference is particularly critical.

According to the corporation, the Podorozhnik filters are mounted on sensitive electronic components and suppress electromagnetic pulses generated by EW systems. This capability helps maintain stable operation of field telephones, radio stations, and onboard UAV systems even under active electronic countermeasures.

The developers also emphasize the filters’ durability. The units are built to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -60 to +125 degrees Celsius. They are rated for up to 20,000 hours of use within equipment, which, according to Rostec, allows them to function reliably throughout a full service life of up to 25 years.
