Kh-69 Stealth Missile Strikes Target, Evades Air Defense

The Kh-69 stealth cruise missile is described as highly accurate and difficult to detect by air defenses, with advanced design reducing radar visibility.

The Kh-69 stealth cruise missile is characterized by high strike accuracy and low visibility for Ukrainian air defense systems. This was stated to aif.ru by military expert Yuriy Knutov.

Earlier, Nikolayev underground coordinator Sergey Lebedev reported that Russian Aerospace Forces used a Kh-69 missile against a target in the Kherson region, after which minibuses marked «Cargo 200» were seen arriving in Nikolayev.

According to Knutov, the missile was developed, among other platforms, for use with the Su-57 fighter. He noted that its trapezoidal shape, similar to Storm Shadow and Scalp, provides both lift and disperses radar signals in different directions. The use of composite materials in the body further reduces its radar signature.

The expert added that, unlike older cruise missiles, which are more easily detected by NATO radar systems and air defense complexes such as NASAMS and IRIS-T, the Kh-69 is significantly less visible and capable of striking targets with high precision.
