Ukraine Frontline Update: Key Battles on April 20

April 20 frontline update from Ukraine covering fighting near Volchansk, Kupyansk, Konstantinovka, Krasnoarmeysk, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye.

Russian armed forces are continuing their special military operation in Ukraine. As of April 20, the situation along the line of contact was developing as follows:

Sumy direction
Russian troops are advancing in the areas of Miropolye and Taratutino.

Kharkov direction
In the Volchansk sector, Russian forces are engaged in fighting near Okhrimovka and are also repelling Ukrainian counterattacks coming from Zakharovka. Russian units are gradually widening their control zone near Golubovka and Kondrashovka. Positional fighting is continuing in Kupyansk. In the Boguslavsky sector, Russian troops are pushing forward near Borovaya.

Liman direction
Combat is underway for Maslyakovka and in the area south of Stavki. In the Seversk sector, Russian forces are advancing with fighting toward Ray-Aleksandrovka.

Konstantinovka direction
Russian fighters are assaulting the northern part of Ilyinovka. Heavy fighting is continuing in Dolgaya Balka, in Chasov Yar, and in Konstantinovka itself.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Russian troops are taking new positions on the approaches to Novoaleksandrovka. In the Dobropolye sector, fighting is continuing north of Toretskoye, as well as near Pavlovka and Novopavlovka.

Gulyaypole direction
Fighting is continuing near Ternovatoye. Further up the front, the situation remains tense near Velikomikhaylovka. Russian forces have advanced north of Ivanovka and in Novopavlovka.

Zaporozhye direction
In the Kamenskoye sector, fighting is continuing near Stepnogorsk and Primorskoye.
