Tuapse faced a large-scale drone attack with dozens of explosions, a port fire and casualties. Damage reported across city infrastructure and buildings.

Tuapse came under a large-scale drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the night of April 20, according to Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.

Residents say the morning began with a series of powerful explosions-dozens in total. Shortly before the strikes, Tuapse municipal head Sergey Boyko had warned of a possible drone raid. Similar alerts were also issued in Novorossiysk, Anapa and Gelendzhik.

The attack triggered a fire at the Tuapse seaport. Kondratyev reported that one person was killed, while another was injured and is receiving all necessary medical care under doctors’ supervision.

Falling drone debris caused damage across the city. Windows were shattered in several buildings, including a primary school, a kindergarten, a church, a museum and a residential apartment block. A gas pipeline was also reported damaged.

Emergency and specialized services are working at all sites where debris landed, the governor said.
